Terms of service
Last updated October 26, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Ka Yee Chan, a sole proprietor based in California, USA, who operates Starmanack(“we”, “us”). By using Starmanack, you agree to them. If you use Starmanack for a brokerage or other business, you agree to them on its behalf. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your information.
Starmanack
Starmanack is a workspace for real estate professionals: your contacts and your history with them, email through your own Gmail, transactions, listings, documents, client portals, market analyses and surveys, with AI that helps along the way. It runs in your browser at app.starmanack.com, with an optional browser extension. This website describes it and lets you book a demo or ask a question.
Your account
- You must be 18 or older, and use Starmanack for your work.
- You sign in with Google. Keep your Google account safe: you’re responsible for what happens in Starmanack under your account.
- If you think someone else has got into your account, tell us straight away.
Plans and payment
- Starmanack has a free plan and paid plans. Each plan’s price, limits and features are on our pricing pageand shown when you subscribe. Limits count everything you’ve added over time, so deleting something doesn’t free up room.
- Paid plans are billed monthly, in advance, through Stripe, and renew each month until you cancel. Prices are in US dollars and don’t include taxes that apply.
- If we change a price, we’ll tell you before the new price applies to you.
Cancelling, downgrades and refunds
- You can cancel at any time, in Settings › Billing. Your plan stays until the end of the month you’ve paid for, then your account moves to the free plan.
- If a payment fails, you keep your plan for 14 days after the month ends while we try again; after that your account moves to the free plan.
- Moving to a smaller plan deletes nothing: everything stays readable, but you can’t add more of something past the new plan’s limit.
- We don’t give refunds, except where the law requires them.
Your clients and your email
You decide what you put in Starmanackabout other people, and whom you email from it. You’re responsible for having the right to do so, and for following the laws and rules that apply to you, including privacy law, laws on commercial email, and the rules of your licence, brokerage and board. We hold your clients’ information for you, to run Starmanack for you.
Email tracking, where your plan includes it, tells you when an email you sent is opened or a link in it is clicked. Where the law requires it, telling the people you email is up to you, and you can turn tracking off in Settings › Email.
Gmail and Google
Connecting Gmail lets Starmanack read, send and label email in your account, as our privacy policy describes. Email sent from Starmanackis sent from your own address, and you’re responsible for it as if you’d sent it from Gmail yourself. You can disconnect at any time. Google’s own terms apply to your Google account.
Using Starmanack fairly
Don’t use Starmanack to:
- break the law, or help someone else break it;
- send spam, or email people who haven’t agreed to hear from you where the law requires that they have;
- harass, threaten or harm anyone, or pretend to be someone you’re not;
- store or share anything you don’t have the right to, or upload anything harmful, such as viruses;
- capture pages with the browser extension in a way that breaks the website’s own terms;
- get into accounts that aren’t yours, or test, attack or overload Starmanack;
- copy, scrape or resell Starmanack.
Your content
What you put in Starmanack is yours. You let us store, copy, process and show it, only as needed to run Starmanackfor you and the people you share it with, including sending parts of it to our AI and speech-to-text providers for the features that use them. You’re responsible for what you put in Starmanack. We may remove anything that breaks these terms. If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them freely.
Portals and shared links
Anyone who has a portal’s link and passcode, or a market analysis or survey link, can see what it shows. Share them only with the people they’re meant for. You can delete a portal at any time.
AI
Suggestions, summaries, drafts and anything else written by AI can be wrong or incomplete. Check them before you rely on them. A market analysis is not an appraisal, and nothing in Starmanack is legal, tax, financial or other professional advice.
Your data
You can download everything you’ve put in Starmanack, and delete your account, at any time in Settings › Your data. Deleting your account ends your subscription and deletes everything in it, straight away and for good.
Changes
Starmanackchanges: we may add, change or remove features. We may also update these terms. When we do, we change the date at the top, and if a change matters, we’ll tell you in the app or by email before it applies. Using Starmanack after that means you accept the new terms.
Ending
You can stop whenever you like: cancel your plan, and delete your account. We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms, or to protect Starmanackor other people, and we’ll tell you when we can. The parts of these terms that by their nature should last after that, such as the disclaimers and limits below, still apply.
Disclaimers
Starmanackis provided “as is” and “as available”. We don’t promise it will always be available, free of errors, or that nothing will be lost, so keep your own copy of anything important. As far as the law allows, we give no warranties, express or implied, including of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
Limitation of liability
As far as the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, deals or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim about Starmanack is limited to the greater of what you paid for Starmanackin the 12 months before the claim and US$100. You agree to cover us for claims that come from your content, the email you send, or your breaking these terms. Some places don’t allow these limits; there, they apply only as far as the law allows.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of California, USA, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute goes to the state or federal courts in California. Nothing here takes away the rights you have as a consumer where you live.
General
These terms, with our privacy policy, are the whole agreement between you and us about Starmanack. If part of them can’t be enforced, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a part isn’t giving it up. You can’t transfer these terms to someone else; we can, ifStarmanack is transferred.
